i would say that's the vortex custom logic chip too, but i'm not 100% sure. perhaps i know a way to find out for sure, but i need to make a few phonecalls for this. will keep you posted if i discover anything useful. :)
by the way, did you know the vortex card allows you to run atari and intel apps at the same time? not multitasking because only one process takes all available resources and you have to divide RAM between the two before booting, but it was very useful in those days. some wordprocessor under dos, and calamus on atari for instance. :) some kids at school may have had faster machines than me, but nobody had two in one box! ;)
