If a HDD drive works for 720 disks in a STE,
(most of them do) then there is only one lil
change to be done for it to handle 1.44 disks
and that is to replace the 8MHZ clock for the
FDC chip with a 16MHZ clock. Thatīs all..
No changes needed on the drive itself,
and STE TOS already handles HDD format. :)
Iīts recommended to put in a switch to toggle
8-16 MHZ, in order to read both formats...
