nah this an stfm 1040 which i also have that doesn't work! it turns on (psu ok) but there is no action at all at the floppy drive - i've changed all the other chips - fdc - dma - yamaha - tos oh and mmu - just thought it could be this as i new it was an issue with some st's back in the day ;-)
