well if the orange light comes on - usually it would be the drive - but not always as i have found! - anyway if it is the drive the cheapest option is to use a pc drive in it's place(you'll need to cut a bit of the casing) you'll need a drive where you can change the id to 0 as opposed to 1(used by pc's) atari had to be different! oh and put the ribbon cable in upside down! yes it's true! there are some other mods too - but i've never gone that far as i've not had problems. still someone may say different on here!!!! you should be able to get a pc drive for a few pounds.....
