I have a MegaSTE too. In addition to what LaTeX said, I can tell you that it is possible to use bigger drives than the 48MB one for sure. It's problematic to predict which drive will and which drive won't work though- I've heard of several cases (including failures and successes alike) but there seems to be no clear pattern as to what brand/model works better. Older drives seem to do well.. but them being older can hardly be the reason ofcourse. ;)
