No actually, that wasent necessary, the machine did not come with a hard drive, just 4M RAM and nothing else. It is marked so on the bottom and the factory warrenty sticker was in place.
It was doing this right out of the box.
The new hardware did not affect the problem for better of worse. The problem continues to foloow the same pattern.
