Sorry dude didn't mean to get you all torqued up like that. Now that I re-read what I wrote, I did come off a bit smug.

On the serious side though, while miraculous and extremely lucky purchases do happen:
Specialized computers like the Falcon do not have their value measured like PCs (with age) they have a certain value that is retained and actually increases with time. This is why all functioning Falcons on EBay are sold for the "throw away" price of only $300 and the refurb Falcons sold at the last few remaining Atari Dealers are going for $799-$1500 ea depending on features. Honestly, we both know that if a place like Best Elec. actually HAD this NEW Falcon for sale it would be such an event, that they would put it up on the top of their webpage for $1500! And it would be sold within hours, no joke, no exaggeration.
All things considered, on the retail market, this machine is a bargain at $700
