Hi Dominic,I am very familiar with what you have experienced. When i bought myide from mr-atari i was trying all kinds of hd's and could not find one that would work but then i found one that would detect but no matter what i was getting errors and sometimes i made a partition but then all failed :( So after contacting mr-atari he dug out a hd and got it working at his end and filled it with games to get going then sent it to me as a good will and i have never looked back and i am still adding games to the hd :) But i have not tried another hd as i feel i might still have the same problem and mr-atari had pointed out to me that the problem was a timing problem with the myide cart.So now he has made another myide cart which has solved this problem and he claims will be able to use any hd no matter what.He said i could send myide cart back to be updated but i have still got it and still use it but i will in the future buy the new myide from him cos i want to keep the one i have for experimenting with other hd's.
So apart from the myide's first problem the second myide cart is supposed to be the one to have and MR-ATARI is a good man :)
