Don't use ST Basic, use something GFA Basic or STOS if you're wanting a BASIC environment to write games or other software. The original ST Basic was a steaming pile of poo. I'm sure someone here can supply you with GFA Basic or STOS. If not, shoot me an email and I'll see what I can do.
