I must be incompetent I guess because I still cannot manage to make it work (not that I'm trying all day and night of course).
Things have changed on the Falcon since I wrote the last post: it is now running under Magic (version 4) and the internal IDE hard disk is now running thanks to HDDriver (version 6 because that's what I had but I can update it if necessary) while it was before on AHDI 6. So, here's the problem: I turn on the disk, the computer, (the screen too of course! lol).. Everything starts, but during the boot sequence, it only shows a message about the IDE Disk and its partitions (CDEF, with bootable driver on C), nothing about an external disk on the SCSI port.
When I'm on the desktop, I launch HDUTIL and unfortunately he doesn't find the SCSI disk (which is on port 2) neither for formatting nor anything else.. And yet, HDX (you know the utility shipped with the computer) still does recognize it on port 2 with "SCSI 2 - IBM DPES - 3180 S31S". Have I missed a step? Is there something not normal in all this? I thank you in advance for your help.
Adrien.
