Hi !

If the .msa file is comming from START magazine we could suppose the archive to come from a regular floppy format (2 sides, 80 tracks per side, 9 sectors per track, 512 bytes per sector so the size of the archive should be around 512*9*80*2 = 737280 bytes = 720KB if uncompressed as I suppose). So you could format a floppy (720KB and not 1.44MB !!!) and convert the .msa file eitheir by your PC or by your ATARI using appropriated programs on each machine. If the archive is not that size you could try to guess the appropriate format trying others value in the formula. side is 1 or 2.
track is from 1 to 84 (no more ! oftenly up to 82 is enougth).
sector is from 9 to 11.
sector size is 512KB. I doubt 1024KB could be on ATARI.
Non-regular format will be only provide by you ATARI and not by you PC (not the same floppy disk controler).

Try a "search" on this forum if you need to convert a 1.44MB floppy to a 720KB one with your PC. A lot of post are about that.
If you are using Windows XP, you will have to format your floppy from a DOS session with the format command.
