An update...

I cleaned all of the contacts and still no luck.

But I noticed that the telephone-style jack on the side of the case has one prong that sticks downward. Could someone else take a look at the keyboard jack to confirm whether this should be the case?

It's the second prong from the right that is different from the other five.
