Let`s drop this subject. We really have to wait and see the machines in the shops. That is the only way we will see who is right and wrong. I just thought it would be good to inform you people, so that you won`t buy an expensive WinTel machine and get frustrated when it will get completely obsolete very soon. (I would be)
Steve G: So you think you would need 4 G4 processors to realize this. Well phas5 announced a processor card for the Amiga with 4 G4 processor on board. But Amiga Inc. wasn`t impressed and they say they will release something cooler (and MUCH cheaper). This processor chip isn`t solely an Amiga development but is developed by an external company (With LOADS of cash/If you are familiar with the computerbusiness you will be suprised!).
No they won`t drop the PC directly (huge userbase). But they will start developing for a better OS (AmigaSoft that will run on both PPC,x86 and the "secret" processor).
