Why not changing the hard disk plug ?

If you plug and unplug a lot of time your hard disk, you may broke again the soldered piece of solid wire. But that time it will stay stuck inside the female plug. So you will lost a cable in addition.

Anyway I would have tryed myself to sloder something, but I would have been aware of furthers problems that could occur.
