It seems I forgot to mention that I do own a falcon. However I believe that the falcon couldn't play the mp3's well. On large files of good quality anyway. Probably the memory. I was more into scientific applications. In my work I am writting a program to control a scientific instrument through a gpib port. The program is written in Matlab. I know there is a unix(linux) port of matlab and I was wondering if it would run on a falcon through mint. Maybe an earlier version don't care. I imagine that installing a gpib port on a falcon would be a real challenge for an electronics wiz. Anyway how much processing power do you need to record data?
