Oh, I dont know.
I paid £150 for mine ( I think? ) which I thought was a great price.
I upped the internal HD from what? a 220 I think, to a 4.3GB and the RAM from 4MB to 16MB to make it more useful, and I tried to use it at 640x480x256 but that screen mode was extremely slow. ( Its not too bad at 16 colours though ) so I thought Iwould get myself an Eclipse PCI adapter and a RAGE GFX card, and after some hell getting it to finally work ( Many thanks to the many who helped me out on that one ) I realised that at 16mhz, it was simply far too slow to be used seriously... My MSTE was also 16mhz, and I am sure its faster than the falcon? - anyway, I decided that the TT was the baby for me, and I sold off my falcon for about the price I paid for it... Apart from it now having an Eclipse, 16MB Ram and a 4.3GBHD
So, after all that, I do wished I had kept it, but looking back, if I had kept it, it would not be used.
To be totally honest, using the Falcon has actually put me off using Ataris altogether, and its since then, that I have not bothered to use even my TT or ST's
Its beleiving all the hype about them, then finally getting one only to find out, its nearly all lies.
Especially in that in loads of info about them, they say its as fast as a TT... What a pile that was.
Has anyone actually tried to play an MP3 and do some work at the same time on one?
I never could!
I suppose I should have just spent the extra few quid and got it upped to at least 32mhz, but then again, I decided, that it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to build myself a half decent PC instead.
Dont get me wrong here, I love my Ataris, I will defend them to the bitter end, and indeed, I do all the time! - many PC users in some forums call me an Atari Pimp, and I have often referred to myself as an ST-Necro, but expecting so much, and getting so little was the killer for me.
