As far as I know there is only a mp2 encoder for the Falcon with FPU. Even the latest version is horribly slow. It costs about 2 hours to encode one minute of sample to mp2 on a standard falcon. An accelerator like AB40 speeds this up alot.
I've been thinking about an mp2/mp3 encoder using the dsp. Since this encoding is mostly dsp suited work anyway. But probably some DSP wizards such as sectorone or nocrew need to realize such an encoder.
