It will run on a 1040 in high-res and as well on a falcon under MagiC 6.
The one I got this package from wrote the scores for his big band on it.
This one is more to layout scores I think, cubase is more for sequenzing in the older versions. From cubase 3 onwards you could have a good layout for scores.
I personally did just test the buttons without attaching a midi device.
