I have a TOS 1.62 STE, but I have also TOS 2.06 (by software). I have version 6.06 of AHDI, and version 7.80 of HD Driver, HDX is version 5.x.x or something.
The formatting takes about 2-4 minutes, and I am not certain that it said "initializing disk", it was a few days ago that I last formatted it. Guess I could try it again though.
HDX/AHDI cannot see that I got a Megafile, it only reports "ASCI 0: Not Identified" But maybe that is a fact on all megafiles running AHDI. HD Driver however correctly reports it as a SH-205/Megafile system.
What should the sector & cluster size be set at? Maybe I am getting the wrong default sizes for that.
