I'm a fulltime musician, so being able to write cd's is important for me!
I'm pretty sure there is a free system that will let you read a CD, I think it is meta dos? But I must say that anodyne's software has been many times over worth it's price! Partly because the capabilities it has brought to my Falcon are nessesary to me, and partly because it has had frequent free updates. But possibly mostly because of their willingness to help me solve problems (I'm an Idiot,) problems often not even related to there app's. Since we atarians are usually few, especially here in the U.S., having someone knowledgeable to talk with is priceless. If you can scrape together the equivelant of $50.00 US, you can get just Extendos and have the best available CD Drivers for our platform, and be supporting a "true" diehard atarian!
I haven't been paid for this commercial, except in excellent service! ;-)
