I was just checking on this myself last week.
Best Electronics is out of backlights, but has new screens (w/bl). Not sure about B&C. I'm trying to find out if there are any other backlights that might cross-ref and work in this screen. I'm hoping the backlights aren't as rare as the screens are!
One thing you can do in the meantime that works pretty darn good.
Put white paper behind the screen and hit the screen from outside with a good flourescent desk light from the top/front.
