The new version of TeraDesk takes up less than 200k RAM, it's very efficient. I dont know how it works under Geneva, but under TOS 1.62 it's seems pretty unstable, caused my system to crash a lot, and ram slowly despite having plenty of RAM and no other demands on the system.
As for desktop backgrounds, it doesn't support them by default, but it works fine with a desktop pic CPX plug in, so that's no problem with that. All in all though, I'd reccomend NeoDesk over this.
