Metrophage,
Richard Davy is a well-known and trusted person in the Atari scene, he even contributed to some games in the STs hey-day (Stario).
However, you are not the firstperson to encounter problems like this in procuring the LGD CDs.
While I believe his intentions are 100% worthy, I know that he's busy and perhaps not that well organised with this endeavour.
I think at one stage he said he wasn't going to sell CDs any more, because of the problems he's had keeping on top of it.
Everyone recieves their CDs eventually, some people very promptly, and others not so. I know of quite a few people who have (justifiably) become quite irate, and threatened legal action.
Email contact isn't reliable. Rich@atari.st has existed for a long time and is published on the site, so I imagine it gets absolutely hammered with spam, not to mention all kinds of stupid questions and letters from Atarians.
So I think it would take a long time to contact him via that address.
He won't publish any other address afaik.
My advice is to contact Darren Birks. He seems to have a close relationship with Rich, and is able to contact him easily.
If you just explain what's happened nice and civilly (sp?!), I am sure that he and Rich will be more than anxious to fix you up.
Good luck,
Tom
