Ok, dudes, I got a problem :o)
I'm unable to OCR the book... The tables in the book look like this:

No OCR program can OCR this without preprocessing. I tried to do emboss and any other effects and combinations of effects in 3 graphical programs to make this OCRable, but no use. I also tried to write 3 small programs to preprocess this, but still no use.
So now we have (at least) 3 choises:
- try more to do something with it, but I would appreciate if anybody else would find out any way to make this OCRable
- give few pages to any online volunteers, that would like to rewrite them in Excel or what (online project :o)
- post those pages scanned as images, but that would be about 40 MB
Any ideas?
