Thanks to both of you for your help! The problem is that even if it sounds terribly easy, I still can't get it to work. Here is what I do:
I take an empty diskette, then create an AUTO folder and I put AHDI.prg in it. The Falcon boots from it and displays the green TOS screen with all the partitions of the Hard Drive mounted. So I'm happy.
I take out the disk and inserts the Falcon's install disk with "hinstall" on it: I run the program, the installation of the bootable thingy on C: works well, and then I insert back the first disk and copy the AHDI little program in the C: partition's AUTO folder.
I reboot without floppy... and nothing happens! The green TOS comes back!

Is AHDI in fact more than just this little application? Does it require more than a drag-and-drop in the HD's auto folder to be properly installed?
Is the Falcon doomed? ;)
