Hello again!
Ian, at some stage of the process -I think right after running the hinstall of the Falcon install disk- and it didn't make a lot, the first time I did it it only saved the resolution of the screen, the way the icons were put on the desktop, and the fact that partitions D: E: and F: were also mounted with C:. Because at first the diskette booted with the default resolution and only C: on the desktop.
Anders, when I turn the Falcon on without any floppy inserted, it will only do the memory test, and then start searching (I hear I think the HD and the floppy drive being scanned). And when I boot with the floppy, it displays the AHDI message (the version, then "IDE 0 - serial number", then "SCSI 0 - not connected", and then "not bootloaded" a line below).
Your comment on the colour of the screen and the newdesk.inf file made me think that maybe the problem comes from a conflict between the driver/boot driver and some files of the C: partition (it has indeed some "system" files, including the newdesk.inf file).
If it can come from that fact, I don't know, maybe I could tell you what's on the partition, then suppress what's wrong if something is wrong (that would also be an opportunity to format the C: partition and start anew with it).
Thanks a lot!

Adrien.
