Hi,
Connecting a Falcon to ADSL isn't a simple thing. But in my opinion, you should get an Ethernet card and a router.
In my home, my ADSL modem and all my computers are connected to a router. I've installed an EtherNEC in my Falcon (it is an ISA Ethernet card plugged into the cartridge port).
Concerning the software, I use MiNTNet, Sting and Gluestik, according to the programs I want to use. I've given the address 192.168.0.2 to my Falcon because I have no client for DHCP (I can add static IPs into the configuration of my router).
Good luck :)
