1st: i've got the AHDI driver (ver 6061). i executed it on the falcon, it works. but until i dont have the HD it is useless i think. AHDI is the original HD drver from Atari Inc? i've downloaded an another driver called CBHD, and one more found in the AHDI archive name HDx (or is it part of AHDI?)
2nd: i will buy SCSI HD instead of IDE. the reasons are: a Quantum 2gig HD + external case with psu + cable costs me about 20Euros, thats not very expensive i think. (i hope the cable will work with the falcon). reason nr2: i dont want to set the falcon into pieces and ide drives are too slow for Hd-recording for example. so thank you very much FatRakoon but the ide is not a solution for me:)
questions: after i bought the hd and connected succesfully to the falcon (it will happen on the 1st of november, if everything will going as i planned) what should i do then? do i have install some OS onto the drive? (i know the falcon has TOS in ROM, but it is ugly as f**k and i want some more modern.) can i boot from the HD directly or i will need a boot-floppy?
sorry, these are a lamer's questions, but im a lamer in atari case (im originaly an Amiga guy:)
