Hi,
you don't need to install an operating system on the
harddisk - unless you want to. ;-)
All you need to do is run AHDI so it installs a file
called SHDRIVER.SYS into the boot-block. After
that, leave AHDI, press reset once and the Falcon
should recognize all your partitions.
However, i strongly recommend to get either HDDriver
or at least HuSHi to drive an external harddisk. AHDI
is badly outdated.
HuSHi is part of the SCSI Tools by Hard & Soft, and this
is one software package i recommend anyway when you
use SCSI devices.
