Hmmm... I didn't know that Ide drives are too slow for harddiskrecording,
I didn't have any problems with that on my falcon, yet...
If your falcon isn't "clockpatched" scsi might be a bigger problem for harddiskrecording, than ide is.
I use a built-in 10 Gigabyte Ide without any problems, and I really DO harddiskrecording with it...
And I remember it worked with my plain falcon and 64 MB connor harrdrive as well...
But YOU must know ;-)
SCSI is nice and fast and if your falcon doesn't have problems with it...
SCSI-Cables are not that expensive today... most you can get for about 10 EUR,
EXCEPT the one you need for the Falcon (scsi-II)...
sub-d 25 to sub-d 25 cables are very cheap.
I have a long scsi chain with two cd-burners, dvd-rom, iomega-zip, scanner and daynaport scsi-ethernet adaptor...
The most expensive part was the cable from the falcon to the first device...
Cheers,
Mac
