There is only one current printer I know of that will work on the ST, and that's the Brother 1440 Laser. It emulates the HP 4 laser, so NVDI or SpeedoGdos should work fine.
Other printers MAY work. Some Samsung lasers, the remaining Epson dot-matrix, and others that have backwards compatibility modes might work, but no one knows for sure.
Current Epson and HP inkjets do not work. Old Epson and HP inkjets do work, and are occasionally found on Ebay. Again, NVDI or SpeedoGdos software is usually required.
