Next format the whole drive, and divide it into partitons. If everything is ok, install hd driver (you will install it on hd), then choose auto configuration (you should receive the list of available hd devices). After that you can configure other options of hddriver, like caches, DMA background for MAgic and so on... If something is screwed up, then I cannot help. Have you used this hd drive before?
I use scsi drives all the time, i haven't managed to connect any IDE drive to this day (CT60 on or off I alwas receive garbage on IDE).
If you have scsi device then I suggest you changing version of hddriver 8.13 or....
