It would have been cool if Atari put one in the TT.
If they could have run it at 16mhz and code could be run from fast RAM whilst it was bliiting it might have been usefull for games.

Thanks for all the info folks. From what I can tell there never was a standard 520/1040 ST shipped with a blitter. I'm probably confusing it with the upgrade.
