yes, the adaptor has a status LED and does exactly that, the LED turns off when the stacy refuses to start.
i just was back home checking it out again...
it powered up but i had to do the whole turn stacy on, plug adaptor into socket a couple times before power up...i hope that won't damage anything, once it's on it's great ;]
the stacy is for gigs though, this sort of problem would need to be fixed to assure a sense of reliability of course...plus it would be nice to be able to simply turn on the computer with it's switch!
