Ok, i already thought so.
Your universal adaptor is a switched transformator (or
whatever the proper english turn is - we call it
"Schaltnetzteil") and that seems to be the problem.
Unfortunately, i don't know much about these
transformators but it probably can't deliver enough
current for the STacy initially. Since the STacy is listed
in the manual explicitely, you can probably return the
adaptor or exchange it for a stronger one.
