Update. Checked all files present ont eh system with what I can make out from the manul. All the AUTO files are in the right order, all DATA-TT files are present. I can't find any hint of alternative driver versions for different cards on the disk, and nomention on the on disk documents that I cna descipher. I'm really stumped here. Debating about just forgetting the Nova disk drivers altogether and just coughing up for NVDI 5?
