Have a look at some new floppy drives. Examine them carefully for either a jumper labeled DS for "drive select" (unlikely) or you may find solder bridges called ds0 ds1 etc, and ds1 will be bridged. Remove this bridge and close ds0. Drive will work as standard, but be careful when changing disks and writing files to them, without doing a refresh first (ESC) as youll likely bugger the FAT.
