The 50Mhz one was for the Pak68/030 ONLY... Not as a 68000.
Not entirely sure, but thats the impression I got.
Also the PAK was available as low as 16Mhz?
The compatibility issues with Pak were the same as for the TT... Its probably because the RAM, is setup much like the TT, in thats 4MB from the STE was STE RAM, and the extra 8MB on the board was TT RAM. They must be treated differently, ( STE RAM is DMA - TT RAM is not ) and AFAIK, this was the only issue? While Falcon RAM was all STE RAM... Or DMA could access it.
Not entirely 100% on that, but this is the impression I got.
BTW Just for the record, my Ataris are:-
STE 4MB+8MB / Pak68/3 @ 32Mhz
2GB + 1.8GB + 8xCDROM + 2xCDROM
TT + CaTTamaran @ 48Mhz / CrazyDots
9.1GB SCSI + Nakamichi 4-Disk Changer and 5-Disk changer ( Useless as I cant use the changer facility? ) and a Pioneer CDRW, but have yet to get any writer software.
Oh, and the TT has a QWERTYX, which is another toy to let me use PC Keyboard & Mouse... Its a bit iffy to be honest, I have one Serial Mouse thats flawless, but many PS2 mice dont like it ( You need a PS/2 - Serial Adapter )
