When?
Thats not really a question I can answer right?
Erm, ok, my TT when I got it, had 2MBSTRAM and 4MBTTRAM.
I use Magic OS and Jinnee.
Now, when I instaled them, I was constantly running out of RAM, especially whan using NVDI and having a number of TTF's
Now, I used a small app called MEMVIEW, and this showed me how much ST/TT Ram was being used/left and I saw that the TT RAM was hardly touched, and yet the STRAM was very much full.
So, it was just a simple matter of setting the programs to run in TT rather than ST MEmory, and lo-and behold, I ended up with having just over 1MB of STRAM and 3MB of TT RAM left.
It was not quite so easy though... Some programs simply dont like being loaded into TTRAM from the Auto folder, but its a simple case of trial and error really!
I now have 10MB STRAM and 32MB TTRAM, so I never have any more issues.
On the ST ( 4+8 ) I dont get the issues either, and the Falcon was 14MB which is just STRAM, so that never had them either, btu at the time, with the TT having such a limited RAM, and me having to have everything in the system at once, it did make a big deal.
