And are 9 Chip Sims, simply the same as 8 chip, but the 9th chip is parity?

I have a fair number of 30 Pins simms, I have tried and gone through a fair number of STes too!

While I have Never managed to perfect my knowledge in knowing which do and which dont, I will warn you, that I have killed off 2 STes trying to get some simms working.

So, take that a warning that there are simms out there, that not only are incompatible with STE's they are also deadly too!!!

The question is WHY these simms kill STE's ? I spent a great deal of time trying to work that one out, also killed 2 STE's also :-(
