I use the rubbermaid containers that are about the size of a large shoe box. I know there small but there designed to stack very well and best of all if you wait long enough you'll be able to get them on sale for $.50 each. If you don't like the thought of having 20 or so containers stacked they do sell larged sizes that should work.
Hope that helps. If not then do what I did to get the Idea of the boxes, Go to a classic gaming shop and ask them to show you how they store there stuff.

Now that my Atari cartridge collection is getting larger (mostly loose carts), I'm thinking there has to be a better way to store them other than a large cardboard box. What have you guys found to be a good way to store the carts? What about the console itself? Any storage or maintence tips to ensure I'll be playing these in another 20 years?
