Virtually all stock ST's can be upgraded to 4mb, later models are simple slots, but earlier models, paticularly STf and STfm, need soldering.

As for EasyMint, I believe this needs 8mb RAM (and an 030?) and so won't work on standard ST's. However CrippleMint is a stipped out version of MiNT that is designed specfically for low end 68000 systems.
