I would have thought you would have got more money for your ST then a GameCube would be worth new.Try Ebay if you can,then buy the cube and have some money left :)

Then again I belive I read your post wrong.

Do you want to swop your Game Cube for a ST with a hard drive?
In that case I recommened selling it all as you are and then buying a ST :) :) :)
