Earlier TOS versions will boot from HD, though I think TOS 2.06 has more flexibility. TOS 1.62 works fine with the megafile drives. Not sure about partiion sizes but I would say play safe and keep them under 16mb, megafile drives aren't that big anyway so anything over that ins't really neccessary.
