Hi.

I connected an external NEC SCSI CD-ROM to my falcon and works well. Besides the drive itself, a SCSI II - SCSI I (centronics) is required for the connection, and a SCSI terminator would be necessary if your CD will be at the end of the SCSI chain.
As driver you can buy a copy of ExtenDos (my option) that is good and easy to setup, or download SPIN (very good as well) from the net.

I read somewhere that an IDE CD-ROM can be connected to the Falcon IDE port, but I'm not really sure about that. It will depend on the driver. You can ask extendos programmer: anodyne@cyberus.ca.
