I am interested in this subject too, and my question are if it is possible to install a 68k 16mhz in an ste, and switch it by software to 8mhz just like the mega ste? I also recall that the mega ste had some kind of 2nd level cache that could be switched of/on. Would this be a more expensive upgrade to my existing ste, than buy a new mega ste? They are quite hard to find here in sweden!
