games should work without a mouse...............unless they are mouse driven huh?

yes just put the game in and it'll boot and you can play, at least most commercial games do this.

You can use the st without a mouse, you need to use Alt and the arrow keys.

I got fairly proficient at this at one point, though regaining a mouse was appreciated.

buy a mouse if you can.
