thanks for the replies and yes, it would be smart to narrow down the reason a bit...
to answer Evan Langlois, i bought an ste a little over one year ago for midi sequencing. since then i've bought a stacy so now that i have a hard drive i figured it would be interesting to see what kind of applications there are out there.
i'm mainly interested in, well, everything!
but really need something to check out my stacy's hard drive so that i can start using it (since it is for playing live, it would be nice to leave the floppies at home ;)
i've tried ADHI, hdx, hardauto, hinstall but they didn't seem to install. i put one of them in an auto folder and got a blank screen that nearly had me crying that i killed stacy! luckily the desktop came back after i turned the power off but when i took out the disk with the auto folder and pushed restart, i still had the blank screen which makes me a little nervous about the state of the hard drive...
so, hard drive utilities! i downloaded ghostlink and am looking forward to trying that out...a good control panel program sounds nice...since i like the look of the reverse monochrome screen, having that option would be cool...the above mentioned BASIC program sounds good, too!
now the real question is: are these easy to find to download?
thanks guys!
