calamus, cubase, notator (logic): standard killer apps from the ST era.
apex: great falcon paint program which has a good zoom, palette editor and some pretty useful interpolation and animation features
imagecopy: unmissable for any programmer who does anything with bitmaps
devpac 3.1: in my humble opinion this is -the- assembler. comes with a great intuitive development environment.
boxkite: replaces horrible standard fileselector. good searching functions, copy, delete, touch, select multiple files. extensions under functionkeys, path history.. it's unmissable for anyone who uses atari in a more or less serious way.
gfa basic 3.5: standard BASIC stuff. fast editor with collapsing blocks, good support for subroutines. don't use it anymore, since C is more easy to port from/to other platforms, and is generally better for big projects.
pure c: reasonable intuitive C development package. still use this one a lot for making converters and other small tools..
hexedit: nice hex editor, use it alot =)
qdsp: fast dsp assembler
flextrax: great 4..8 CHN mod tracker with very intuitive GUI.
dspdebug: very complete dsp debugger
kobold: great file copier, disk formatter, etc. can also do timed batch jobs, can replace slow system file routines, can search for files terribly fast, etc..
procalc: nice scientific calculator which came standard with newer ataris ;)
