When using Diamond Edge, make sure it's version 1.10, the 1.04 version can really mess up data if you have any BGM partitions.
Another way to "Delete" a undeletable file/folder, is to use DiskDoc, find the directory entry for that name, then edit the first byte/character to a hex value of "E5". This, in itself won't free up the space used, but often will allow EDGE to repair an otherwise unrepairable disk, or allow you to get a cleaner Back-up.
